Difficulty Levels

We do our best to make adaptable, Plug & Play adapters for as many personal watercraft as we can. But we’re tinkerers at heart and we know some of you are as well. So we also make adapters that take some more DIY and drilling and cutting. This allows you to Bixpy more watercraft and customize your boat the way you want.

Below you will find the difficulty level of each of the adapters we offer based on the complexing of the installation.

• 1 and 2 are fairly plug and play, only requiting you to install your motor to your adapter and plugging in your adapter.  No tools, no drilling no modifications at all. 
• 3 and 4 are simple installs that require some line tying perhaps, some screwing things together, but still not requiring any modification to your existing equipment or our adapters. 
• 5 and 6 will require some boat modification and the use of common household tools like drills and screw drivers. 
• 7 to 10 will require some involved installation.  You will need drills, screw drivers, lighters, saws and perhaps some other power tools and you will most likely have to modify your boat to some degree. 

Bixpy Ready

A Bixpy Ready watercraft is able to accept a Bixpy adapter immediately with minimal installation. There is no need for third party equipment. All you need is your Bixpy Outboard Kit and our suggested adapter to completely motorize your vessel. This is the most seamless way to experience our plug and play system.

We provide as much content as we can on all installations, but as a quickly growing company, we cannot always keep up with the hundreds of Bixpy users out there doing amazing things. So we always do our best to promote all good installs for everyone to use and share and we REALLY encourage you to share your installs with us and the Bixpy community.

Please understand that we will do our best to help you with your projects, but it is impossible for us to walk everyone through the more complicated installs remotely. We encourage you to visit your local marina or kayak and sail shop to get help with more complex installs.
